Smart Resume Builder is open for public registration - anyone can create an account. Each account's data is private to that account: no other user, including the app's operator in normal operation, can read, edit, or delete another account's profile, applications, or generated output. This page documents what data the app handles and how it's used.
All of the above is stored in a SQLite database on this app's hosting provider (Render), on a persistent disk, scoped to your account. Uploaded files are stored alongside it. There is no separate analytics database and no third-party data warehouse.
When you generate a resume, cover letter, or fit score, your profile data and the relevant job description are sent to whichever AI provider you've configured in Settings (OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Anthropic, or a self-hosted Ollama instance you control) to produce that output. That provider processes the request under its own privacy terms. No data is sent to any other third party, and this app does not sell or share data for advertising.
This app does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies.
Registration is self-service - no invite required. Your session is a bearer token stored in your browser; it's invalidated on logout. There is currently no self-service password reset; contact the app's operator below if you're locked out.
Any entry (profile fields, experience, education, skills, projects, certificates, job applications) can be deleted directly from its page in the app. There is no self-service full-account deletion yet; contact the app's operator below to request it.
